About Which Pool Robot

Pool robots are sold on ratings that don't line up: one maker gives a pool length, another a floor area in square feet, a third a pool size in feet by feet. Runtimes come with modes attached, and filter fineness is given in microns by some makers and in names by others. This site puts those figures side by side for the pool you have.

Plenty of pools still run a Zodiac, Baracuda, Polaris or Hayward suction or pressure cleaner. For those, the parts pages list the maker's part numbers for bags, tires, hoses and tune-up kits, and say which Amazon listings carry the genuine part.

How the guides are written

We work from the makers' product pages, owner's manuals, parts catalogs and sell sheets. Where a figure appears only on a retail listing, the card marks it. Where a maker contradicts itself, the page says so and uses the more conservative figure. We don't run our own tests.

How the site is paid for

Product links go to Amazon, and Which Pool Robot earns a commission on purchases made through them. The details are on the affiliate disclosure page.

Matching a pool cleaner to the pool from the makers' own ratings: pool size and shape, the surfaces it climbs, its filter and its power. Parts lists for the suction and pressure cleaners still in service.
