Zodiac MX6 and MX8 parts

The MX6 and MX8 share tracks, engine and hose. The Elite versions add scrubbing turbines and brushes. Zodiac sells one tune-up kit, labeled for the MX8, whose parts are all MX6 parts too.

Before you order parts

  • Flow check: hold the cleaner just under the surface and time 10 turns of the yellow wheel-speed indicator. 20 to 25 seconds is right; slower means more flow, faster means less.
  • The FlowKeeper valve is required on a pool with one skimmer.

Zodiac MX6

A tracked suction cleaner that runs off the skimmer or a 1.5 in vacuum line. Zodiac built it as a low-flow design for two-speed and variable-speed pumps.

Suits: Smaller pools, inground or above ground, on a pump that can hold the flow it needs while it runs.

Weigh: Zodiac gives no pump size. The check is the yellow wheel-speed indicator: 10 turns in 20 to 25 seconds. A FlowKeeper valve is required on a single-skimmer pool.
